HOMEMADE PIZZA IN A PAN

HOMEMADE PIZZA IN A PAN

Ingredients

For the Dough

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon dry yeast

1 teaspoon sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup lukewarm water, about

1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Pizza

1/2 cup tomato sauce

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

150g diced ham

1 cup diced pineapple, well drained

1 teaspoon oil for greasing the pan

Preparation

Prepare the dough.

In a bowl, mix the flour with the yeast, sugar, and salt. Add the warm water gradually and then add the olive oil.

Knead.

Knead for 6 to 8 minutes until the dough is smooth, smooth, and elastic. If it’s too dry, add a little more water; if it’s too sticky, add a small amount of flour.

Let it rest.

Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a slightly greased pan. Cover and let it rest for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

Roll out the dough.

Grease a non-stick pan slightly. Place the dough and roll it with your fingers to cover the bottom of the pan, leaving a slightly thicker edge.

Add the sauce and cheese.

Distribute the tomato sauce over the dough without reaching the edges. Add the shredded mozzarella cheese and spread it evenly.

Add the ham and pineapple.

Distribute the diced ham and pineapple evenly over the entire pizza.

Cook in the pan.

Cover the pan and cook at very low heat for about 20 to 25 minutes. Avoid increasing the heat too much so that the bottom of the pizza doesn’t burn before the dough is cooked.

Check the cooking.

The pizza will be ready when the bottom is lightly golden, the dough is completely cooked, and the cheese is well melted.

Serve.

Remove the pan from the oven and let the pizza rest for 3 minutes. Carefully transfer it to a plate or cutting board, cut into portions, and serve hot.

Tip: Drain the pineapple well before placing it on the pizza to prevent the liquid from leaking out too much during cooking.
