If you love tender beef with golden, crispy edges and plenty of garlicky flavor, these Crispy Garlic Butter Beef Bites are about to become a new dinner favorite. Small pieces of beef are quickly seared until beautifully browned, then tossed in a rich garlic-butter sauce that coats every bite.
Best of all, this recipe is simple enough for a busy weeknight but delicious enough to serve when guests come over!
Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs (680 g) beef sirloin or tenderloin, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 5–6 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
Instructions
1. Prepare the Beef
Pat the beef cubes thoroughly dry with paper towels. Season them with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and onion powder. Dry beef will brown much better in the pan.
2. Sear Until Crispy
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high to high heat. Once hot, add the beef in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
Sear for about 2–3 minutes per side, turning occasionally, until the beef develops a deep golden-brown crust and reaches your preferred doneness.
3. Add the Garlic Butter
Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir and cook for about 30–60 seconds, just until the garlic becomes fragrant.
Be careful not to burn the garlic.
4. Finish the Sauce
Add the Worcestershire sauce and red pepper flakes, if using. Toss the beef bites thoroughly so every piece is coated in the buttery garlic sauce.
Cook for another 1–2 minutes, allowing the flavors to come together.
5. Garnish & Serve
Remove from the heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve immediately while the beef is hot, juicy, and crispy around the edges.
What to Serve With Garlic Beef Bites
These beef bites are delicious with:
- Creamy mashed potatoes
- Steamed or roasted vegetables
- Rice or cauliflower rice
- Crispy roasted potatoes
- A fresh green salad
- Warm crusty bread
Helpful Tips
- Don’t overcrowd the skillet: Cook in batches if necessary so the beef sears instead of steaming.
- Dry the beef first: Removing excess moisture helps create that irresistible crispy crust.
- Use a hot pan: The beef should sizzle immediately when it hits the skillet.
- Add garlic near the end: This keeps it fragrant and prevents it from becoming bitter.
- Serve immediately: The crispy edges are best while the beef is fresh from the pan.
