Creamy Garlic Herb Butter Fish

Creamy Garlic Herb Butter Fish — Golden, Juicy & Irresistibly Delicious!

Ingredients:

4 white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, haddock, or halibut)

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 garlic cloves, finely minced

½ cup heavy cream

½ cup chicken or vegetable broth

½ teaspoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon paprika

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill (optional)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:

1. Season the Fish

Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt, black pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.

2. Sear the Fish

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the fish and cook for about 3–4 minutes per side, or until beautifully golden and cooked through. Transfer the fish to a plate and set aside.

3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce

Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 30–60 seconds, just until fragrant.

4. Create the Creamy Sauce

Pour in the broth and heavy cream, stirring well to combine. Let the sauce gently simmer for 2–3 minutes until it begins to thicken. Stir in the lemon juice, parsley, and dill.

5. Bring Everything Together

Return the seared fish to the skillet and spoon the creamy garlic herb sauce generously over the fillets. Simmer gently for another 2–3 minutes, allowing the fish to soak up all those incredible flavors.

6. Serve & Enjoy

Garnish with fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon. Serve immediately with mashed potatoes, rice, pasta, or steamed vegetables.

Pro Tip: Don’t overcrowd the skillet when searing the fish. Giving each fillet plenty of space helps create that gorgeous golden crust while keeping the inside tender and juicy.
